Dating back to two separate colleges founded in 1840 and 1841, Saint Mark & ​​Saint John College was officially granted university status in 2012. Located near the south coast city of Plymouth, she has over 4,000 students on one campus.

The Alumni Social Mobility Index ranks St Mark & ​​St John as the best university in the UK for social mobility and The Times ranks the university among the top 10 UK universities for overall student satisfaction attached. 94% of students find a job or continue their studies within six months of graduation.

Originally the UK’s oldest teaching university, its subjects remain its traditional strengths. Sports and journalism programs are also doing well at the university, the latter benefiting from the new journalism and media center that opened in 2013. Many vocational courses are well networked with industry and accreditation bodies.
