About University of East London
Since its establishment as a university in 1992, the University of East London (UEL) has been around since 1898. It has 13,500 students enrolled from 135 different countries. The campuses in Docklands and Stratford are in East London, close to Canary Wharf, a major financial center, and the area chosen to host the Olympics in 2012. London’s first brand-new university campus in 50 years was the Docklands Campus.
According to the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings, UEL ranked second in the UK for the quality of its teaching, and it was also one of the world’s top 200 young universities. In addition, according to Times Higher Education, the University has been voted the best university in the UK over the past decade.
Architecture and the Visual Arts, Civil Engineering, Cultural and Media Studies, Education, Psychology, and Sports Science are among his academic strengths. Since 2005, Olympic and Paralympic projects, including research, student involvement, and sporting partnerships, have been underway at the University, which is well-known for its sports programs.
