About Queen Margaret University
Queen Margaret University (QMU) in Edinburgh was founded in 1875 as the Edinburgh School of Culinary Arts and Domestic Economics, primarily to provide education and skills to working-class women. The university moved in 2007 to a new purpose-built leafy campus in Musselburgh, five miles from the city center of Edinburgh, Scotland. QMU is split between her two schools.
School of Arts, Social Sciences, Management and School of Health Sciences. More than 5000 of her students from about 80 countries are enrolled in her QMU courses. Professionally, QMU graduates are in positions where they can influence politics, shape culture and society.
